Nephew looking for first (cheap) boat

My 18y old nephew from Patchogue is looking for his first boat - on the cheap - ideal would be an older 19-23' outboard cuddy that he can use to fish great south bay, and also bring back and forth to Davis Park on FI. I am trying to steer him toward a self bailing hull.

He has looked at a few pieces of junk (hull-wise) so far as he only wants to spend around 3k.

I told him maybe he should consider a CC with spray hood instead for that price range but he wants the cuddy - what do I know.

Wondering if any Club mates know of anything available before we continue to search the boards....thanks!!!
