Propeller re-cons
Any thoughts on a group thing?

Larry
Mark at LI Propeller did mine last year and I was happy with his work. He might cut a a deal if you get enough interest.

If it's not broke don't fix it!

Is this the guy who came down and did a clinic at the property last spring? I'd be interested in a tuneup.
Re: Propeller re-cons
Mark looked at my wheel on the Sisu the last time he was at the property.
Although he could make improvements, he felt it would be minimal and not cost effective considering certain factors, i.e. S&S had just worked on the wheel, HP, etc. I was impressed with his honesty. If I were looking to race those guys up North I would of went for it.
As an aside, I can also say Larry Johnson impressed me with his honesty when I changed out the cutlass bearing and had him look at my unusual looking F.G. rudder when I was considering replacement with a Bronze rudder. Heexplained the design and said I'd loose about 1 mph.

Re: Propeller re-cons
For anyone interested, we're working on having Mark from LI Propeller come down to the property and pickup a bunch of wheels in the next week or so. They can remove them for you if you're on the property or you can bring them down when we set up the event.
I've heard good feedback about their work.

Re: Propeller re-cons A MUST!
I hope everyone read my article in our newsletter about propellers. Anyone splashing a vessel in this economy without have his propeller carefully measured and examine is cheating themselves. The propeller is the most important item in the power chain. If one blade is bent 1/16”, which is something you cannot see by eye. It is like losing ½” of pitch. If one blade is that way it slows the propeller down due to drag. Almost like running a car with little air in one tire.
So think about that before you splash your boat.
