Hey Everyone,
I am posting this in hopes that you'll keep a look out for some equipment that was stolen from my business partner's boat, the Sea Jeannie (38 ft. Topaz) dry docked at the Yachtsman's Cove.
(2) Furuno VX2 Navnet were stolen just in the last couple of days. If you see anything or hear of any for sale, please contact me on my cell phone (516) 317-3635.
Thanks - Sean Libby

Re: Boat Equipment Theft - Yachtsman's Cove
Update,
As some forum readers may be aware, the 38 Sportfishing boat SeaJeannie and its rightful owner was vandalized to the extent of grand theft on or about the evening of April 1, 2011.
The theft was and included two FURUNO NANVNET 10" units with polypropylene white covers and map cartridges. The units are serialized and on record. Oddly, other quite convenient electronics were intentionally left remaining.
Through some very helpful parties on this site we know a "poster" (whose information is now in authorities hands) listed 2 FURUNO NAV NET 10" units with covers and cartridges in the days leading up to the theft. They were quickly pulled from the listing on or about the day of the theft. Perhaps pulled once the "buyer was found"? This again appears to have occurred on or about the day of the theft.
Detective Thomas Pollack, 1st Precinct, Detectives Squad, Baldwin NY has been recently assigned this case.
If indeed these units were that of the SEAJEANNIE-we believe they were sold to an unbeknownst (until the read of this posting) "innocent buyer". That this buyer is currently in possession of these goods. That these goods represent a criminal grand theft case. That the crime included but not limited to a felony and perhaps the use of computer and internet to perpetuate the crime. That the products are serialized and will be exposed to the best of our ability. Mostly, that the crime will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
We therefore vehemently encourage the "buyer" to quickly and expeditiously contact Detectives Squad, T Pollack, with information as to the whereabout of "any recently purchased NAVNET displays" that may have occurred (as proof they are- or are not -those that may belong to the SeaJeannie and its rightful owner).
Additionally, I will personally offer a reward of not less than TWICE the purchased price of the two subject NANVNET units and for the further information that leads to the item recovery, but mostly -arrest and conviction of the parties responsible for this crime. However, if you wish to anonymously right this ugly crime- please do so with information in your most confidential and comfortable fashion available. I remain committed to this end and can only thank the folks who have permitted us this unexpected gain of information in this short time.
Respectfully,
Vito Costanza
All correspondence should be made to Detective Thomas Pollack, 1st Precinct 516 573 6100 or Michael Corr, Private Investigator for Mr. Costanza 516 233 9243
