2014 Annual Awards / March GM

Post by MBILL »

Don't forget that tonight's GM is our Annual Awards Night!
I hope that we'll see a large crowd ready to shake off the winter cobwebs and get back into fishing mode.
It's also been rumored that there will be an enhanced raffle table filled with fishing goodies.
See you there!

Congratulations to the Awards Committee, the Officers, the House Committee, and the Membership Commitee on a well run, enjoyable and effective Annual Awards night. The meeting was well attended and It was impressive to see 30 potential new members in attendance, a result of the efforts of new Membership Committee Chairman Bob McVey. There were more guests than I could ever remember in my 36 years with the Club. Captain Bill Morrogh did a great job with the awards, ensuring to mention some special insight about the catch on every single one. Chris Bellinzoni gave an emotional acknowledgement to the Awards Committee thanking them for renaming the Lawrence Festa memorial trophy for which he is the first recipient. (Congratulations to Captain Chris and his crew). Tim Sherman layed out his upcoming entertainment program for 2015 starting with the next GM with Captain Tom Mikoleski, a must attend for any serious fisherman. President Ray Geiger has the club on solid start for 2015. I can't wait to start competing for next year's awards.
