Hurricane Sandy

Post by IN2FISHN »

If you haven't been listing to the News Hurricane Sandy is on the way. :o The last Hurricane Irene, had the water going over the bulk head and deposited all the dock box on the westerly fence. All dock box should be secure or moved to higher ground. With the wind they are predicting we do not want the dock boxes taking to the air and causing damage. For those members that will ride out the storm in the Marina, I would suggest you add extra dock lines. The last storm the floating docks were a foot short of the top of the polls. One more thing if you have a freeze you might want to raise it up several blocks.

Based on what we saw with Irene I've hauled my boat, put my freezer up on 3 levels of blocks and took my dock box home.
I'll be down at the property this morning putting away loose items.
Good luck to all!

All ramps to the floating docks have been taken down to prevent damage from sandy. After the storm leaves town we will need help re-install the ramp.
