For those of you who are interested in the details of how marine recreational fisheries data is collected by NMFS, the below link is to a recent very good presentation to the Mid-Atlantic
At the Mid-Atlantic Fishery Management Council’s April 2013 Council Meeting Rob Andrews gave a kind of “State of MRIP” presentation that Council Members felt provided a really good sense of where MRIP stands now and what’s upcoming, at least for the East Coast. We record and archive the presentations – it can be accessed here:

I think it’s a good primer for MRIP on the East Coast, maybe the Gulf too, if folks are ever looking for a resource to summarize MRIP on-goings for 2013. It’s probably nothing new for this group (though there is some good discussion too) but if you run into other people who are looking for an update (Council members, constituents, etc.), I thought it might be convenient…
