I received in the mail today a notification from the American Littoral Society that one of the srtiped bass I tagged was caught and the tag was returned. I know some you think this is no big thing but this is the first one for me. The fish was caught by Joe Jahn while out on the the Prime Time 3 out of Orient Point on one of the clubs Trips. The fish was caught on 5/17/2010 and was 26 inches and was about 5 pounds. The fish was caught in the Delaware River in Elsinboro NJ. The fish was 33 inches on 4/13/12 when it was caught. That is quite a journey for that guy. Any way thanks to Joe for letting me tag his fish and can't wait for the next one. good luck out there. be safe.

My daughter Lisa caught a taged striped bass off Jones beach that was tagged the year before in the Deleware river. I guess they are making the round trip. Paul Second Chance

I guess your right. Mine went into the Delaware and yours came out. only proves they follow the bait fish.

This is good stuff, very interesting. In the heyday of bass they would say 90% of what we catch on south shore LI are Chesapeake bay fish, 10% Hudson. Here are two confirmed examples of Delaware fish. You should know the bass population is in big trouble once again, the Chessy is not producing that well, Hudson is down from some recent highs. Delaware fish doing Ok, Housatonic in CT has a spawning population doing well too, from what I hear.....
